Pit Brosius is a young conductor from Luxembourg. He has shared the stage with internationally renowned soloists such as Alena Baeva with whom he recently recorded Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and was one of the candidates at the International Conducting Masterclass Gabriel Pierné with the Orchestre National de Metz.
Next to his position as principal conductor of the Summer Orchestra Luxembourg and the sonasKUNE chamber music ensemble, Pit Brosius is regular guest conductor of the United Instruments of Lucilin and worked with the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg a.o.
Pit is the regular assistant conductor of David Reiland. Furthermore, he has assisted in productions of Cinq Mars (Oper Leipzig), La Bohème (Opera Zuid, Grand Théâtre Luxembourg), Die Zauberflöte (Opéra Saint-Etienne) and Iliade l’amour (B. Jolas, CNSMDP).
Pit Brosius graduated from the “Conservatorium van Amsterdam” and “Conservatorium Maastricht” in conducting and bassoon.
